TEXTURE + FORM

It's a bit late but here are some photos of the installation I made as a resolution to my texture and form AS art project. It's not as fresh in my mind, as I finished it a month ago, but here is something I wrote in my sketchbook about it:

The aim of this piece is to question the way we interact with objects we perceive as insignificant or useless, either by adding a new found significance to them (by drawing them and photographing them) or by displaying them in a new medium (in resin). It explores the ways we use and distort the original forms of objects, changing and adapting them to fulfil our needs before throwing them away. This would normally signify the end of  an object's lifespan, however I challenge this by collecting the objects and documenting them.
